James Isaac Simmons [b. 30-May-1842, Georgia - d. 11-May-1925, Flower Mound, Denton Co., Texas] He was the son of Asa Bailey Simmons & Temperance Sterling.  James married Mattie Matilda Stallings [b. 1843 Louisiana - 28-Nov-1924, Flower Mound, Denton Co., Texas].

He was a Confederate Soldier for the state of Louisiana "Texas Confederate Pension Application #38942 Texas 28th (Gray's) LA Infantry"

Some of his family still live in the Flower Mound area.
