To the Honorable Rollins B. Wofford Judge of the Hon. County Court of Dewitt 
County your petitioner would most respectfully represent unto your Honor 
that he purchased during the lifetime of ANDREW LOCKHART a Citizen of the 
affore said county a half quantum of a League of Land the same being the 
Headright Quantum of WASHINGTON LOCKHART deceased son of ANDREW LOCKHART and
that Since that time Said ANDREW LOCKHART has departed this Life and Also 
his daughter ELVIRA GILBERT wife of JASPER GILBERT and during the life time 
of Said ELVIRA GILBERT and heir at law of Said ANDREW LOCKHART your 
petitioner failed to obtain of Said ELVIRA GILBERT a relinquishment of her 
claim if any She had on and to the tract of land affore said therefore your 
petitioner prays that R.H. CHISHOLM Guardian of the heirs of Said ELVIRA 
GILBERT be cited to appear at the next Term of your Honorable Court and Show 
cause if any he had why a judgement & decree shall not be made by your Hon. 
To compell said guardian R. H. CHISHOLM to make unto your petitioner a quit 
claim to all the interest they have or may have had as heirs of said ANDREW 
LOCKHART & WASHINGTON LOCKHART deceased in & to said tract of land which will
 more fully be known by the Deed of ANDREW LOCKHART to your petitioner and 
for all further ___ in equity that your Honor may choose to grant as in duty 
bound would ever pray.
