A.C. Burroughs Mrs. Annie Nelson, wife of N.J. Nelson, died at her home in Clarendon Saturday. Funeral conducted on Sunday at the Methodist church with her pastor, Rev. W.C. Hilburn and the remains were followed to the grave by one of the largest funeral processions in the history of the town. The death was a very sad one. Surviving a husband and four children, the youngest about six years of age. Mrs. G.W. Baker of Clarendon, is a sister. She has another sister in Collingsworth county, Mrs. J.C. Hawkins and several brothers at other points in the state. Prof. Chester t. Heath, Jr. and Miss Mary Cliffe Allen, daughter of M/M W.A. Allen were married at Beaumont, TX on Monday 17 February by Rev. Dr. Hay, of the First Methodist church. Miss Allen’s childhood days and early girl hood were spent in Clarendon. The couple will live in Beaumont. In the county office of Judge George F. Morgan, Tuesday, 3rd, W.H. Conway and Miss Anna Crouch. Mr. Conway is a citizen of Donley county near Alanreed. Miss Crouch is of Rowe, formerly of Clarendon. G.W. Baker stated Saturday that his brother, C.N. Baker died at his home at Grapevine on Friday. He was 44 years old and died of paralytic stroke. Mr. Baker was prevented from attending the funeral due to the illness of his sister-in-law, Mrs. N.J. Nelson. Born- boy on 5th to M/M J.E. Carroll.
