F. Johnston was dead at the boarding house, the home of M/M J.H. Kelley. He had been sick with pneumonia for several weeks. His sister, Miss Ada Johnston of San Marcos was with him for two weeks, and a cousin, A.D. Russell of Wichita Falls, came in this morning. His parents are dead an other relatives scattered. The remains will be sent to his old home, Rockville, TN, for interment to be laid beside his parents. Funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, Rev. Hilburn at the Methodist church this afternoon. Mr. Johnson, 33, has lived in Clarendon for several years, at one time being instructor of mathematics at Clarendon College. At the time of his death he was a member of the firm controlling the Clarendon Mercantile Company and was active in business, social, and religious circles.
