J.R. Leathers died at his home six miles east of town Wednesday after a short
illness with pneumonia. Funeral held at First Baptist church on Thursday,
interment in the Citizen cemetery conducted by Revs. Sebe Thomas and A.C.
Burroughs.

Mr. Leathers was an old citizen of Donley county, and highly regarded. He was in
his 49th year. Surviving him is a wife and six children.
