Sledge of Ranger, Route 3, at the First Methodist Church with Rev. A.J. Fox, Jr., pastor of the Church of God officiating. Survivors: his parents; 2 brothers - Kenneth W. of Abilene, Lanny E., stationed with the Navy in California; 2 sisters - Geraldine Sledge of Houston, Mrs. Kenneth R. Barr of Alice; grandmother - Mrs. Lillie Trotter of Pehachati, CA. Burial in Bullock cemetery, north of Ranger, under the direction of Killingsworth Funeral Home.
