This photo is of the tombstone of Rachel Frances "Fannie" Scarborough 

Whittington.  She was born October 15, 1846, and died March 23, 1928.  The 

symbol of the Eastern Star is above her name.  An inscription on the stone 

reads "A sinner saved by grace"  

Additional Comments:
Rachel was the wife of George Ross Whittington and the daughter of Silas and 

Rachel Scarborough.  She and George are buried under the shade of a beautiful 

tree in the Eastland Cemetery, along with some of their children.
