Carroll Everett Porter was born to Gerald and Caroline Porter in Maine in the 

1930's. He had two brothers, Richard and David Porter. He married Rowena 

Dorothy Pomelow in the 1950's. They had three children, John Paul, Paula 

Melissa, and Michael Alex. He retired from the United States Air Force and then 

made his living at various jobs. He died September 21, 1987 in a hospital in 

Abilene, TX after battling cancer for several months. His last home was in 

Ranger, TX. He was survived by his wife, children, and brothers. He is missed 

every day.
