This photo is of the tombstone of Rachel Russell Scarborough, the 2nd wife of 

Silas Scarborough, Sr.  She was born May 5, 1810, in Ohio, and died August 29, 

1890, in Ranger, Eastland Co., Texas.  She was the mother of 9 of Silas 11 

children.

Additional Comments:
She and Silas married May 12, 1832, in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.  Rachel is 

buried next to her daughter Emma Elizabeth Agnes Scarborough Young Smith.
