   ODESSA  --  Bernice  Lorraine Bledsoe, 77, of Odessa, a retired nurse,
   died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, in Austin.
   
   Services  will  be  at  1:30  p.m. today at Freedom Missionary Baptist
   Church  with  the Rev. C.E. Sims officiating. Burial will be at Sunset
   Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
   
   She was born in Lott. She was Baptist.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Son,  Gary Lynn Bledsoe of Austin; brothers, Bunard Bailey
   of  Houston,  Espie Bailey and Leonard Ray Bailey, both of Fort Worth,
   and  Bezel  Bailey  of Minneapolis; sisters, Bennie Truesdell of Lott,
   Decker  Washington  of Tyler, Lottie Nelson of Fort Worth, Julia Denzy
   of Tahoka and Vernie Pleasant of Odessa.
   
   Billie Brodell
   
   ODESSA  --  Billie  D.  Brodell,  65,  of  Odessa,  former  owner of a
   janitorial  services  company,  died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Odessa
   Regional Hospital.
   
   Services  will  be  at  10  a.m.  Monday  at  Frank  W. Wilson Funeral
   Directors  Chapel  with  the Rev. Kathryn Strempke officiating. Burial
   will  be  at  Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson
   Funeral Directors.
   
   He was born in Marion, Ill., and moved to Odessa in 1983 from Lubbock.
   He was a Navy veteran. He was Methodist.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Sons,  Frank  Lesley  of Big Spring and Michael Brodell of
   Wisconsin;  daughter,  Linda  Jakowitsch of Cary, Ill.; sisters, Nancy
   Peeples of Carrier Mills, Ill., Kay Jackson of Marion, Ill., and Donna
   Russell   of   Johnson   City,   Ill.;   nine   grandchildren  and  10
   great-grandchildren.
   
   Amber Denny
   
   ODESSA  --  Amber  Nicole Denny, infant daughter of Robert Michael and
   Heather  Nicole Brown Denny of Odessa, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at
   Medical Center Hospital.
   
   Graveside  services will be at 9 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens
   with  the  Rev. Clyde Brown officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral
   Home.
   
   She was born in Odessa.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Parents;  grandparents, Beverly Denny and Randal Denny and
   Lee   Brown,   all   of   Midland   and   Jane   Brown   of   Houston;
   great-grandmothers,  Elma  Brown  of  Austin  and  Barbara Waterman of
   Boulder, Colo.
   
   Chance Hodges
   
   ODESSA  -- Chance Parker Hodges, infant son of Gary and Natalie Hodges
   of Odessa, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in Lake City, Fla.
   
   Graveside  services  will be at noon today at Sunset Memorial Gardens'
   Lullaby  Land with the Rev. Jim Ray Brown officiating. Arrangements by
   Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
   
   He was born in Lake City, Fla.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Parents;  grandmothers,  Annie Fullerton of San Angelo and
   Nancy  Baty  of  San  Diego;  brother,  Brittan  Hodges of Odessa; and
   sister, Kailee Radloff of Odessa.
   
   Elmer Rainey
   
   BIG  SPRING  --  Elmer  Jay Rainey, 93, of Monahans, a grocery worker,
   died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, in a Monahans nursing home.
   
   Services  will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood
   Chapel  with  the Rev. Eldon Cook officiating. Burial will be at Mount
   Olive  Memorial  Park.  Arrangements  by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral
   Home.
   
   He  was  born  in  Athens,  Texas,  and moved to Monahans in 1996 from
   Loraine. He was Baptist.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Son,  Weldon Rainey of Monahans; sister, Stella Lee of Big
   Spring; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
   
   Nettie Shaw
   
   KERMIT  --  Nettie  H.  Shaw,  95,  of Conroe, a retired florist, died
   Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at Woodland Manor in Conroe.
   
   Services  will be at noon Monday at First United Methodist Church with
   the  Rev.  Gary Seelau officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery.
   Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc.
   
   She  was  born  in  Calisburg and moved to Conroe from Kermit. She was
   Methodist.
   
   SURVIVORS: Grandsons, Lee Shaw of Napa, Calif., Phillip Shaw of Conroe
   and  Arnold  Shaw  of Cypress, Calif.; step-grandson, Corey Matheny of
   Tomball; and 12 great-grandchildren.
   
   Callie Jordan
   
   ODESSA -- Callie Faye Jordan, 81, of Odessa died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998,
   at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
   
   Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
