Permian Basin Death Notices

   Arlas Cavett
   ANDREWS  -- Arlas O. Cavett, 73, of Andrews, retired vice-president of
   Andrews  Savings & Loan, died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at Permian General
   Hospital.
   Services  will  be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with
   the  Rev.  Mike  Henson  officiating.  Burial  will be at Andrews West
   Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
   He was born in Plainview and moved to Andrews in 1954 from Fort Worth.
   He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
   SURVIVORS:  Wife,  Joyce  Cavett  of  Andrews;  sons, Rodney Cavett of
   Carrollton,  Barry  Cavett of Andrews and Brett Cavett of Shallowater;
   sister, Ouida Frost of Carrollton; and seven grandchildren.
   
   Marlin Morris
   ODESSA  --  Marlin  Henry  Morris,  67,  of  Odessa,  a retired cement
   contractor, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at Seabury Nursing Center.
   Services  will  be  at 10 a.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home with the
   Rev.  Jerry  Murphy officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
   Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
   He  was  born in Chalmers and had lived in Odessa for 50 years. He was
   an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Pentecostal.
   SURVIVORS:  Wife, Nila Jo Harrisburg of Odessa; sons, Sammy Morris and
   Michael  Joe  Morris,  both  of  Odessa, Jeffery Morris of Houston and
   Danny  Morris  of  Vacaville,  Calif.;  daughter,  Misty  Hollowell of
   Odessa;  brothers,  Marvin  Morris  and  Riley Morris, both of Sulphur
   Springs;  sisters,  Florence  Russell and Hazel Reese, both of Sulphur
   Springs; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   
   Sue Orson
   ANDREWS  --  Sue Orson, 52, of Midland, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec.
   6, 1998, at her residence.
   Services  will  be  at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with
   the  Rev.  Mike  Henson  officiating.  Burial  will be at Andrews West
   Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
   She was born in Waco and moved to Midland in 1988 from Andrews.
   SURVIVORS:  Sons,  Kenneth  Orson  and Scooter Orson, both of Andrews;
   daughter,  Kim Orson of Andrews; sister, Sharon Graves of Midland; and
   three grandchildren.
   
   Lillie Spence
   MIDLAND  --  Lillie  M.  Spence,  96, of Midland, died Monday, Dec. 7,
   1998, at Courtyard Care Center.
   Services are pending with Ellis Funeral Home.
   
   Elizabeth Tipton
   ODESSA  --  Elizabeth Tipton, 95, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998,
   at her residence.
   Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
