He was born in Plainview and moved to Andrews in 1954 from Fort Worth. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Joyce Cavett of Andrews; sons, Rodney Cavett of Carrollton, Barry Cavett of Andrews and Brett Cavett of Shallowater; sister, Ouida Frost of Carrollton; and seven grandchildren.
