   Macario Alvarado
   
   ODESSA  -- Macario Romero Alvarado, 74, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec.
   9, 1998, at his residence.
   
   Mass  will  be  celebrated  at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic
   Church  with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Rosary will be said at
   7  p.m.  Friday  at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose
   Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
   
   He was born in Midland and moved to Odessa in 1951. He was Catholic.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Sons,  Johnny  Alvarado,  Reuben  Dennis  Alvarado,  Jaime
   Alvarado  and  Mario  Alvarado,  all  of  Odessa;  daughters,  Yolanda
   Alvarado  Gerber,  Rosa  Alvarado  Thomas  and  Cynde  Yvonne Alvarado
   Simons,  all  of Odessa, and Odie Alvarado of Abilene; brothers, Jesse
   Alvarado  of  Odessa  and  Christino Alvarado of Dallas; sisters, Lupe
   Alvarado  Reyes  of Midland, Linda Alvarado Eagleton of Richardson and
   Olivia Alvarado Torres of Mexico City; and six grandchildren.
   
   Betty Davis
   
   ODESSA  -- Betty Jean Davis, 53, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday,
   Dec. 8, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
   
   Services  will  be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with
   the  Rev.  Roscoe  Sutton  officiating.  Burial  will  be at Rose Hill
   Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
   
   She was born in Odessa. She was Baptist.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Husband,  Jerry  Davis  of Odessa; sons, Thomas Martin and
   Bryant  Jackson,  both  of  Odessa,  and  Kenneth  Williams of Dallas;
   daugthers,  Lisa  Williams,  Theresa  Brown  and Mozelle Brown, all of
   Odessa, and Vicki Martin of Dallas; and 12 grandchildren.
   
   Kenneth Lacy
   
   ODESSA  --  Kenneth  Lacy, 67, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at
   the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Big Spring.
   
   A  memorial  service  will  be  at  3 p.m. today at VFW Post No. 4372.
   Arrangements by Myers & Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring.
   
   He was born in Roswell, N.M., and was a 15-year resident of Odessa. He
   was an Air Force veteran.
   
   SURIVORS:  Brothers, George W. Lacy of Roswell, N.M., Edger M. Lacy of
   Pearl, Miss., and Leon T. Lacy of Odessa.
   
   Follia Rice
   
   SEMINOLE  -- Follia Rice, 83, of Seminole, a seamstress, died Tuesday,
   Dec. 8, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.
   
   Services  will  be  at  2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the
   Rev.  Earnest  Wall  officiating.  Burial  will  be  at  Gaines County
   Cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
   
   She  was  born in Taylor County and moved to Seminole in 1922. She was
   Baptist.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Son,  Jay  Rice  of Fairfax, Va.; daughter, Faye Wilson of
   Midkiff;   sisters,   Lelia  Pate  of  Irving  and  Nellie  McCann  of
   Breckenridge;  brothers,  Farris  Brooks of Seminole and Roy Brooks of
   Lamesa; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   
   Elizabeth Tipton
   
   ODESSA  -- Elizabeth "Granny" Tipton, 95, of Odessa, a homemaker, died
   Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at her residence.
   
   Services  will  be  at 2 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with
   the  Revs.  Perry  Cowin,  Phil Sanders and Paul Thompson officiating.
   Burial  will  be  at  Sunset  Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa
   Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
   
   She was born in Coal Hill, Ark.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Daughters,  Lenora  Jones  of  Odessa  and  Polly Cowin of
   Mountainberg,   Ark.;   sister,   Jane   Giboney   of  Houston;  three
   grandchildren,       four       great-grandchildren       and       10
   great-great-grandchildren.
   
   B.J. Goldsmith
   
   ANDREWS  --  B.J.  Goldsmith,  67,  of Andrews died Wednesday, Dec. 9,
   1998, at his residence.
   
   Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.
   
   Rosa Gonzales
   
   ANDREWS -- Rosa Gonzales, 80, of Andrews died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998,
   at her residence.
   
   Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.
