December 16, 1998 Permian Basin Death Notices Preston Brecheisen GEORGETOWN -- Preston E. Brecheisen, 77, of Georgetown, a retired owner of a shoe store in Odessa, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998. Services were held Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at St. John's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. George Adamson officiating. Burial was in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home. He was born in Garden City, Kan., and moved to Odessa in 1946 before moving to Georgetown where he lived for 16 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Methodist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Jackie Brecheisen of Georgetown; son, John Brecheisen of Brookfield, Wisc.; daughters, Becky Achten of Juneau, Alaska, and Jody Willingham of Austin; and five grandchildren. Dewain Hilliard ODESSA -- Dewain "Curly" Hilliard, 67, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Home Chapel with the Rev. Alton Towery officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. He was born in Megargel. He was an Army veteran. SURVIVORS: Wife, Reba Daniels of Odessa; sons, Dewayne Hilliard of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Jessie Wayne Hilliard of Magnolia, Ark.; daughter, Elaine Hilliard of El Paso; brothers, Robert Lee Hilliard of Earp, Calif., Ray Killam of Oklahoma City and Charles Hilliard of Nolanville; sisters, Elsa McCormick of Odessa and Faye Killam of Bethany, Okla.; and several grandchildren. Mary Mangrum KERMIT -- Mary L. Mangrum, 85, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Eastside Church of Christ with Brian McGonagill officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc. She was born in Gilbertsville, Ky., and was a resident of Winkler County for 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Wilma Owens SALLISAW, Okla. -- Wilma Lee Owens, 67, of Muldrow, Okla., a retired bookkeeper, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Agent Chapel. Burial will be at Gans Cemetery in Gans, Okla. Arrangements by Agent Funeral Home. She was born in Wink and moved to Muldrow, Okla., in 1990 from Odessa. SURVIVORS: Husband, Alva Owens of Muldrow, Okla.; sister, Jo Ann Bingham of Odessa; and three grandchildren. George Seibert MINERAL WELLS -- George Frederick "Bud" Seibert, 74, of Graford, a civil engineer, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, in Graford. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at McAdams Cemetery in Palo Pinto County. Arrangements by Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner of Mineral Wells. He was born in Cincinnati and had lived in Graford since 1982. He was Baptist. Carroll Thompson ODESSA -- Carroll Seaborn Thompson, 72, of Dallas died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Grace Presbyterian Village Nursing Home in Dallas.
