Permian Basin Death Notices

   Daniel Forester
   
   ANDREWS  --  Robert  Daniel  "Dan" Forester, 81, of Andrews, a retired
   postman,  died  Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at his residence after a long
   illness.
   
   Services  will  be  2 p.m. Saturday in McNett Funeral Home Chapel with
   the  Rev.  Mike  Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews
   North Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
   
   He  was  born  in  Red River County and moved to Andrews from Douglas,
   Ariz., in 1948. He was Baptist.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Son,  Bobby  Dan  Forester  of  Andrews;  brother, Hugh R.
   Forester of Bogata; sister, Glyndora Davis of Wichita Falls; and three
   grandchildren.
   
   Linda Buchanan
   
   MIDLAND -- Linda Cheryl Buchanan, 40, of Midland, died Wednesday, Dec.
   23, 1998, at her residence in Midland.
   
   Services  will  be  3  p.m. Monday at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in
   Midland  with the Rev. Ronny Newton officiating. Arrangements by Ellis
   Funeral Home.
   
   She was born in Midland.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Husband,  David  Buchanan  of  Midland;  daughters,  Emily
   Michelle Buchanan and Sarah Ashley Buchanan, both of Midland; parents,
   A.C.  and  Mary Wootan of Midland; and brothers, Al Wootan of Gail and
   Steve Wootan of Midland.
   
   Madeline Hill
   
   ODESSA  --  Madeline  Hill,  87, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday,
   Dec. 22, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
   
   Graveside  services  will  be  at  2  p.m. with the Rev. Curtis Brewer
   officiating.  Burial  will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements
   by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
   
   She was born in Tishomingo, Okla.
   
   SURVIVORS:  Son,  Samuel  Hill  of Odessa; daughters, Marline Sneed of
   Sierra  Vista,  Ariz.,  Rosine  Moss  of  Elm  Grove, Calif., and Toni
   Houston  of  Odessa;  nine  grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and
   three great-great-grandchildren.
   
   Martha Hicks
   
   ODESSA  --  Martha Hicks, 77, of Odessa, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998,
   at her residence.
   
   Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
   
   Les Shaffer
   
   MONAHANS  --  Les Shaffer of Monahans died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at
   Ward County Memorial Hospital.
   
   Services are pending with Harkey Funeral Home of Monahans.
   
   David Arredondo
   
   SOUTH  DAKOTA  -- David Arredondo, 33, of South Dakota died Wednesday,
   Dec. 23, 1998, in South Dakota.
   
   Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home of Odessa.
