Permian Basin Death Notices

   Z.C. Barton
   MULLIN  --  Z.C.  "Cotton"  Barton, 82, of Goldthwaite, a retired pipe
   liner, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in Goldthwaite.
   Graveside  services  were held Dec. 29, 1998, at Oakview Cemetery with
   the  Rev.  Butch  Foster  officiating.  Arrangements  by Stacy-Wilkins
   Funeral Home.
   He  was  born  in  Greensboro,  N.C.,  and  was  a 42-year resident of
   Goldthwaite. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
   SURVIVORS:  Daughter,  Rachel  Wright  of  Goldthwaite;  sister, Ellen
   Barton  of  Danville,  Va.; brother, T.E. (Gene) Barton of Greensboro,
   N.C.; and one grandchild.
   
   Courtney Harris
   DWIGHT, Ill. -- Courtney Mirana Paige Harris, 4, of Dwight, Ill., died
   Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, in Dwight, Ill.
   Memorial  services  will  be  held  at  11 a.m. today at Dwight United
   Methodist  Church with the Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Arrangements
   by Von-Qualen-Harris Funeral Home.
   She was born in Bremerton, Wash. She was Methodist.
   SURVIVORS:  Parents,  Tim and Marion Harris of Dwight, Ill.; brothers,
   Chase  Harris  and  Dillon Harris, both of Dwight, Ill.; grandparents,
   Daniel  and  Carolyn  Harris  of  Ypsilanti,  Mich.,  and  Winston and
   Margaret Scorgie of Odessa.
   
   Troy Bolling
   MIDLAND  --  Troy  Bolling,  34,  of  Midland,  owner  and operator of
   HandControls Plus, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at his residence.
   Services  will  be  at 3 p.m. Saturday at West Kentucky Baptist Church
   with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven
   Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
   He was born in Midland.
   SURVIVORS:  Wife,  Kathy  Bolling  of  Midland;  son,  Carson Elder of
   Midland;  daughters,  Crystal  Elder,  Tamara  Elder Stephens, Rebecca
   Elder  and  Jessica  Elder,  all  of  Midland; parents, Howard and Joy
   Bolling  of  Midland  and  Janet  and Jim Metz of Yuma, Ariz.; sister,
   Lawana  Herring  of Midland; grandparents, Lawrence and Louise Bolling
   of Midland; and two grandchildren.
   
   Adela Guebara
   PECOS  -- Adela Guebara, 63, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Dec.
   29, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
   Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church.
   Burial  will  be  at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral
   Home.
   She was born in Balmorhea. She was Catholic.
   SURVIVORS:  Husband,  Guillermo  Guebara  of  Pecos;  sons,  Guillermo
   Guebara  Jr., Raymond Guebara and Luis Licon, all of Pecos, and Robert
   Guebara  of  Greenwood;  daughters, Lelia Alvarez of Monahans, Georgia
   Muniz  of  Andrews  and  Beatrice  Valencia of Odessa; mother, Lorenza
   Millan  of  Pecos;  brothers,  Mike  Millan, Charlie Millan and Julian
   Millan,  all of Pecos, Henry Millan and Tommy Millan, both of Andrews;
   sisters,  Sally  Gomez  and  Mary  Millan,  both  of Pecos, and Eloisa
   Contreras of Odessa; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   
   Sharon Houston
   ANDREWS  -- Sharon Skousen Houston, 53, of Andrews, a dispatcher, died
   Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Permian General Hospital.
   Services  will  be at 2 p.m. Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with
   the  Rev.  Ivy  Shelton  officiating.  Burial  will  be at Andrews Old
   Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
   She  was  born  in Springerville, Ariz., and lived most of her life in
   Andrews. She was Methodist.
   SURVIVORS:  Daughter,  Mindy Green of Andrews; son, Michael Houston of
   Andrews;  father,  Willard  R. Skousen of Andrews; five grandchildren;
   and one great-grandchild.
   
   Isidora Gonzales
   ODESSA  -- Isidora T. Gonzales, 75, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec. 30,
   1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
   Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
   
   Oretha Jenkins
   ODESSA  --  Oretha  Jenkins,  74,  of Odessa, died Wednesday, Dec. 30,
   1998, at her residence.
   Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.
