December 16, 1998 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Services for Vivian Ann "Viv" Hubbard, 36, of Odessa will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Jones officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Hubbard died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1962, in Austin and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. Mrs. Hubbard was a nurse with Hospice. Survivors include her step-father, Gordon Pruitt of Odessa. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorrain Pruitt. Funeral arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Freddye J. Brewer ODESSA -- Freddye J. Brewer, 67, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland. She was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Haskell. She married A.C. Brewer Aug. 4, 1950, in Haskell and they moved to Odessa from Abilene in 1953. She worked as a secretary for M & N Metals for 15 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, A.C. Brewer of Odessa; daughters; Debbie Bates and her husband, Mark, of Odessa, and Leisa Brewer of Dallas; one granddaughter, Jessica Bates. She also is survived by her mother, Pauline Kendrick of Palo Pinto; and brother, J.M. (Skip) Kendrick of Vega. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Crescent Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Johnny Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
