December 23, 1998 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Nathan Lee Farris ODESSA -- Services for Nathan Lee Farris, 37, of Odessa will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.T. Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Farris died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at his residence. He was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Odessa. Nathan was a member of First United Pentecostal Church. He was a lifelong resident of Odessa. Survivors include his mother, Annie Farris of Odessa; brothers, Theo M. Farris Jr. and Steve Farris, both of Odessa, and Tim Farris and his wife, Shirley, of Tyler; sister, Janice Goss of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Theo Farris, in 1989; and brother, David Farris, in 1990. Funeral arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. _________________________________________________________________ Anita Larue Harrold ODESSA -- Services for Anita Larue Harrold, 63, of Odessa will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Church of Christ with Lynn Money officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Harrold died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at her residence. She was born March 27, 1935, in Bridgeport, Texas. She married Don Harrold in February 1951 in Wichita Falls. He died Sept. 22, 1986. Mrs. Harrold moved to Odessa in 1961 from Monahans. She had been a composition artist for Kenner Printing Company. She was a member of Sherwood Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Pam Phillips and her husband, Fred, of Odessa and Melody Davis and her husband, Dale, of Odessa; sons, Jerry Harrold of Odessa, Jim Harrold and his wife, Becky, of Spring and Robert Harrold of Odessa; sister, Sue Rushin of Winnsboro; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Harrold; parents, T.O. and Azalyne Rogers; granddaughter, Rhianna Harrold; and sister, Jackie Taylor. The familiy suggests memorials to Home Hospice or the Odessa Christian School. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Joe Wright ODESSA -- Services for Joe Wright, 63, of Odessa will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Smelser officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wright died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at his residence. He was born June 26, 1935, in Childress. He married Nancy Bishop Nov. 14, 1964, in Anson. He was a drill bit operator. Survivors include his wife, Nancy B. Wright of Odessa; daughters, Debra Holder, Bea Looper and Bobbie Brown, all of Odessa, and Thelma Brown of Graham, Ala.; brothers, Raymond Wright and Freddie Wright, both of Harrison, Ark.; sisters, Leona Staton of Gilbert, Ark., Shirley Wright of Alpine, Ark., Lillie Baker of St. Joe, Ark., Linda Coppage of Eldorado, Okla., and Thelma Busby of Altus, Okla.; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Roghair, Tandra Linder, Patricia Sanders, Jean Sanders, Larry Sanders, Phyllis Sanders and Tanya Brewer, all of Odessa, Jessie Dunn of Gilmer and Jeremy Brown, Justin Brown and Jeffrey Brown, all of Graham, Ala.; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. _________________________________________________________________ Joe E. Wood MIDLAND -- Joe E. Wood was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Iraan to Arch Harry and Mary Mildred (Floyd) Wood. He was reared in North Cowden and graduated from Odessa High School. He joined the Army and served in Germany. Mr. Wood married Sheila Baggett Nov. 12, 1954, in Odessa. He started his own trucking business, J.E.W. Materials Trucking Inc., in 1969. Mr. Wood had lived in Midland since I973. He attended church at Kelview Heights Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion in Midland. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Sheila Wood of Midland; his sons, J.E. Wood of Midland and Gary Wood of The Colony; his daughters, Mitzi Stone of Iraan and Belinda Barrett of Midland; his brother, Robert A. Wood of Pampa; his sister, Mary Jean Carter of Pasadena, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wood died Monday, Dec. 21,1998, at a local hospital. Funeral services have been scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Howard Shelton, Norris Wallin, Bo Randolph, Rick Cast, Jack Thompson and Butch Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Wood and J.B.
