January 07, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Marilue Steakley RICHARDSON — Marilue Adair Steakley, 81, a retired teacher, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, in Richardson. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Sherman Bible Church with George Cline officiating. She was born in Josephine and moved to Sherman in 1979 from Odessa. She taught school for the Ector County Independent School District. She also was an instructor for Odessa College. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Barbara Adair of Richardson; stepdaughters, Dora Lee White of Rocksprings and Nora May Verner of Odessa; sons, Don Adair of Richardson and Ron Adair of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepson, Bob Steakley of Odessa; eight grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and one grandchild. Arthur Collins JAL, N.M. — Arthur Ray Collins, 42, a heavy equipment operator, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Liberty, Wash. Services will be at 2 p.m. (MDT) Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will be in Jal Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc. of Kermit, Texas. He was born in Carlsbad and moved to Washington from Jal. He was Baptist. Antonio Moreno SEAGRAVES — Antonio Tomas Moreno, 69, a truck driver, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, near Midland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Prim Apostolica with the Rev. Fernando Sanchez officiating. Burial will be in Seagraves Cemetery. Arrangements by Head Family Funeral Home. He was born in Eagle Pass and moved to Seagraves in 1959. SURVIVORS: Son, Antonio Moreno Jr. of Brownfield; daughters, Luz Elena Castilo of Albuquerque, N.M., Ester Alicia Moreno and Teresa Moreno, both of Seagraves; brothers, Juan Moreno of Washington, D.C., Essiah Moreno of Arizona and Josuah Moreno of El Paso; sisters, Eva Morales and Teresa Varrondos, both of Odessa, Maria Ramos of Seagraves and Santos Cardona of Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. Vicente Villasoto ODESSA — Vicente Villasoto, 62, a laborer, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Getigan officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. He was born in La Paz, Philippines and came to Odessa from the Philippines.
