January 13, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices E.J. Bolton LAMESA — E.J. "Cotton" Bolton, 75, of Lamesa, a retired blacksmith and welder, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lamesa Memorial Park with the Rev. Gerald Parsons officiating. Arrangements by Branon Funeral Home. He was born in Adair Westville, Okla., and was a 60-year resident of Lamesa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Helen Soper of O’Donnell, Sharon Fisher and Carolyn Dewees of Lubbock; sisters, Dorothy Harris of New Castle and Bertha Showers of Lomax; brothers, Carl Bolton of Ventura, Calif., and Jimmy Bolton of Big Spring; 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Geneva Bostick ROSCOE — Geneva Bostick, 70, of Roscoe, a retired switchboard operator and employee of Burlington Northern, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at her residence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Rick Willis and Lyndel Hix officiating. Burial will be at Round Mountain Cemetery. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home. She was born in Sweetwater and moved to Roscoe in 1990 from Odessa. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Husband, John Bostick of Roscoe; daughter, Dianna Heady of Roscoe; sons, John S. Bostick Jr. of Odessa and Mack Bostick of Leander; mother, Maggie Bowen of Sweetwater; sister, Minnie Rose of Sweetwater; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Hazel Hancock MORTON — Hazel Hancock, 87, of Monahans, a retired farmer and rancher, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Gordon Renshaw and Weldon Richardson officiating. Burial will be at Morton Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. He was born in Dawson County and moved to Morton in 1946 from Lamesa. He was Baptist.
