      ALPINE — William (Bill) Warren Dodson Sr., 90, of Marfa, a
     retired trapper and hunter, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, in a San
                             Antonio hospital.
                                      
     Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Elm Grove Cemetery.
                   Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
                                      
    He was born in Brewster County and was a lifelong resident of Marfa.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Naomi Dodson of Marfa; son, William Warren Dodson Jr.
      of San Antonio; daughters, Lenora Pettit of San Antonio, Kathryn
    Dodson of Marfa, Julia Muncy and Cecilia Bradley, both of Saint Jo,
   Laura Harper of Christobal; sister, Alice Yarbrough of San Antonio; 21
   grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
                                      
                                Juan Silvas
                                      
   MONAHANS — Juan B. Silvas, 54, of Monahans, a truck driver, died
           Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at Lubbock Methodist Hospital.
                                      
    Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic
   Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be at 7 p.m.
     today at Harkey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial
                                 Cemetery.
                                      
                      He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico.
                                      
    SURVIVORS: Wife, Elia Silvas of Monahans; sons, Vivian N. Silvas of
    Odessa and Juan N. Silvas Jr. and Artemio Silvas, both of Monahans;
    daughter, Eliza N. Silvas of Phoenix, Ariz.; mother, Cruz Silvas of
     Mexico; sisters, Maria Gonzales of Denver City, Lupe Flores of San
   Antonio, Senaida Chavez of Muleshoe, Susan Zamarron of San Angelo and
             Juanita Berzosa of Odessa; and four grandchildren.
                                      
                              Kayleigh Wharff
                                      
    MIDLAND — Kayleigh Marie Wharff, 11, of Midland died Wednesday,
                Feb. 24, 1999, at a New York City hospital.
                                      
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fairmont Park Church Christ with
    Bill Wharff officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
                    Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
                                      
      She was born in Carlsbad, N.M. She was a member of the Church of
                                  Christ.
                                      
     SURVIVORS: Parents, Dan and Dori Wharff of Midland; grandparents,
    Jeanne Giboney of Augusta, Ga., Ned and Judy Wharff of Hobbs, N.M.,
    and Rich and Carol Johnson of Rio Rancho, N.M.; great-grandparents,

    ODESSA — Thelma Mary Green, 71, of Odessa died Friday, Feb. 26,
                          1999, at her residence.

    ODESSA — Esther Carrasco Venegas, 30, of Midland died Saturday,
         Feb. 27, 1999, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

     ODESSA — Theodore White, 64, of Odessa died Friday, Feb. 26,
         1999, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
