She was born in Palo Pinto and was a World Bible Study teacher. She belonged to the Parkview Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Son, Jerry A. Barton of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Yvonne Nichols of Bryan; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Clayton Carter MIDLAND – Clayton Carter, 67, of Midland, a retired employee of El Paso Natural Gas, died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in a Midland hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Don Knight of Cuthbert Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. He was born in Sylvester.
