March 18, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Jewel Gunter NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jewel Atkins Gunter, 76, of Odessa, a clerical worker, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Local arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. She was born in Montgomery County, Tenn. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Husband, James Gunter of Odessa; daughter, Nancy Hinkle of Odessa; brothers, Edgar T. Atkins of Clarksville, Tenn., Hugh Atkins and John Dudley Atkins, both of Clarksville, Tenn., and Marvin Lauren Atkins of Cunningham, Tenn.; sisters, Irma Atkins Wilson of Clarksville, Tenn., and Lois Atkins of Bessemer, Pa.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Francisco Lara KERMIT — Francisco Lara, 85, of Kermit, a laborer, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Ward Memorial Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at 453 N. Oak St. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel. He was born in Redford and was a lifetime resident of Kermit. He was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Sons, Raul Lara and Albina Lara, both of Kermit, and Joe Lara of Odessa; daughters, Simona Porras of Kermit and Delia Mendez of Coahoma; 50 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Eudora McCulloch LAMESA — Eudora McCulloch, 79, of Lamesa died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Teeters and Dorman Kinard officiating. Burial will be at Lamesa Memorial Park. Arrangements by Branon Funeral Home. She was born in Waco and moved to Lamesa in 1939 from Lubbock. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Husband, W.H.
