March 26, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Edna Cox ANDREWS — Edna Cox, 73, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, in Ruidoso, N.M. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Andrews with the Revs. H.A. Hanks and J.B. Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be at Andrews West Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home. She was born in Tarzan and moved to Andrews in 1950. She was a Baptist. SURVIVORS: Husband, Gordon Cox of Andrews; daughter, Kay Sowders of Midland; son, Berry Cox of Monahans; sister, Joni Hazelwood of Stanton; brother, Don Jones of Richardson; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Odessa Hanes ODESSA — Odessa Hanes, 86, of Odessa, a 40-year employee of Southern Maid Donut Shop, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Avalon Nursing Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Taylors Chapel in Comanche with Rev. Donnie Auvenshine officiating. Burial will be at Taylors Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. She was born in Comanche and came to Odessa in 1948. She was a Methodist. SURVIVORS: Daughter: Maxine Merritt of Odessa; stepdaughter: Joyce Glaze of Arizona; and two grandchildren. Levi Robertson ODESSA — Levi Robertson, 73, of Odessa, a retired farmer and rancher, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wingate Cemetery in Wingate. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Hylton and came to Odessa in 1982 from Hylton. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Joyce Robertson of Odessa; daughter, Brenda Kelley of Colorado City; daughter, Cynthia Robertson of Fort Worth; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Warren Bishop ODESSA — Warren Bishop, 50, of Odessa died Thursday, March 25, 1999 at Avalon Nursing Center. Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
