April 09, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Clyde Coplin ODESSA — Clyde Cecil Coplin, 82, of Odessa, a retired construction superintendent, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Larry Garnto officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Weiser, Idaho, and moved to Odessa in 1983. He was an Army veteran of World War II. SURVIVORS: Wife, Rita Coplin of Odessa; and sister, Bertha Curtis of Fort Worth. Elfida Dominguez PECOS — Elfida G. Dominguez, 82, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Reeves County Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home. She was born in Toyah and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Sons, Raul Dominguez of San Antonio, Juan Dominguez of Long Beach, Calif., and Jesus Dominguez of Pecos; daughters, Margie Lopez of Fort Stockton and Mary Jane Smith of Pecos; sisters, Flora Roman of Odessa, Valentina Garcia of Odessa, Genoveva Dominguez of Pecos and Helen Mogano of San Antonio; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Richard Grissom ODESSA — Richard Dean Grissom, 61, of Odessa, a tool pusher, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Berry officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit. Arrange-ments by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Odessa in 1960 from Kermit. He was a Navy veteran. SURVIVORS: Sons, Harold Dean Grissom and Richard Wayne Grissom, both of Odessa; mother, Dollie Mae Grissom of Kermit; and two grandchildren. Thomas Smith KERMIT — Thomas L. "Tommy" Smith, 79, of Kermit, a retail store owner, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Bonnington officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrange-ments by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc. He was born in Plainview and was a 60-year resident of Winkler County. He was Episcopalian.
