July 14, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Ada Babcock ODESSA — Ada "Granny" Babcock, 93, of Odessa, a child care worker, died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at Deerings Nursing Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Fletcher officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. She was born in Hyden, Ky., and moved to Odessa in 1940 from Kentucky. She was a member of the Church of God. SURVIVORS: Sister, Daisy Johnson of Lebanon, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Clyde Holt MULESHOE — Clyde O. Holt, 83, of Muleshoe, division manager for Panhandle Oil and Gas, died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Muleshoe Area Medical center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lyndal Fletcher officiating. Burial will be at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home. He was born in Happy and moved from Sudan to Muleshoe in 1931. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Frances Holt of Muleshoe; son, Jimmy Clyde Holt of Muleshoe; daughter, Mary Jo Black of Plainview; sister, Helen Gardener of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Stella Kuykendall CRANE — Stella Kuykendall, 85, of Crane, died Monday, July 12, 1999, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 7 a.m. today at Crane County Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Medley officiating. Arragements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home. She was born in Landis, Ark. She was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Marie Massey of Crane and Della Kennedy of Iraan; son, Ernest Wilis Kuykendall of Fayetteville, N.C.; brothers, Dee Massey of Gridley, Calif., and Gale Massey of Grimes, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Clyde Luttrell HAMILTON — Clyde Stanley Buford Luttrell, 90, of Hamilton died Friday, July 9, 1999, at Hamilton General Hospital. Services were held Sunday, July 11, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dean Reed and Melvin Allen officiating. Burial was at Shive Public Cemetery. Arrangements by Riley Funeral Home. He was born in Seymour and moved to Hamilton in 1971. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Wife, Myrle Luttrell of Hamilton; stepson, Bob Cochran of Hamilton; sisters, Flora Campbell of Powderly and Juanita Baxter of Franklin; brother, John Luttrell of Aledo; and two grandchildren. Amador Martinez PECOS — Amador Martinez, 70, of Pecos died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Pecos Nursing Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Church. Elidia Quintela MARFA — Elidia Vasquez Quintela, 62, of Midland died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at a Midland Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church wth the Rev. Demetrio Ponce officiating. Burial will be at Merced Cemetery. Arragements by Memorial Funeral Home. She was born in Marfa and had lived in Midland for 10 years. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Sons, Mike Quintlea of Hobbs, N.M., and Gilbert Quintella of Dallas; daughters, Linda Langford of Corpus Christi, Sally Leon and Marie Cox, both of Midland, and Della Williams of Valentine; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
