July 17, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Fred Bannowsky ODESSA — Fred Bannowsky, 57, of Odessa, a carpenter, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Memorial services are pending with Parker Funeral Home. He was born in Blythe, Calif. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Sons, Fred Bannowsky III of Baird and Billy Bannowsky of Odessa; stepson, Jason Matlock of Hobbs, N.M.; daughter, Tammy Walker of Baird; and one grandchild. Mattie Bownds ODESSA — Mattie Bownds, 92, of Odessa, a retired seamstress, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Church of God with the Rev. Mart Kehler officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. She was born in Fort Worth and moved to Odessa from Tahoka in 1937. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Sons, Ira Bownds and Doyle Bownds, both of Odessa, and Edward Bownds of Whitney; sisters, Faye Jolley of Riverside, Calif., Bill McDaniel of California, and Syble Wilkerson of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Kimberly Welsh ASHLAND, OHIO — Kimberly Sue Welsh, 42, of Huntersville, N.C., an employee of Cox Communications, died Friday, July 16, 1999, in Huntersville, N.C. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Hudson officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
