July 24, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Gordon Headlee ODESSA — Gordon Emory Headlee, 69, of Granite Shoals, a cattle rancher, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, in Granite Shoals. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Odessa with the Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthrone Funeral Homes Inc. He was born in Ector County. For more than 20 years, he managed the Headlee Medical Clinic in Odessa. He moved to Gunnison, Colo., in 1973 and retired to Granite Shoals in 1990. SURVIVORS: Wife, Joan Headlee of Granite Shoals; son, Gordon Headlee of Bayfield, Colo.; daughter, Claudia Thomas of Gunnison, Colo.; and two grandchildren. Lillian Millar ODESSA — Lillian "Bea" Millar, 72, of Odessa, a retired waitress, died Friday, July 23, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. She was Protestant. SURVIVORS: Son, Tommy Millar of Odessa; sister, Violet Kleck of Odessa; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Concepcion Tarango MARFA — Concepcion Tarango, 80, of Marfa, a retired carpenter, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice in Amarillo. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa with the Rev. Demetrio Ponce officiating. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa. Burial will be at Merced Cemetery in Marfa. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton. He was born in Candelaria. He was Catholic.
