July 27, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Dave Foreman ANDREWS — Dave Foreman, 87, retired owner and operator of Speedway Grocery store, died Monday, July 26, 1999, at Permian General Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with John Snider and Ken Helvey officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by McNett Funeral Home. He was born in Gustine and moved to Andrews in 1953 from Earth. He was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Sons, Butch Foreman of Andrews and George Foreman of Danville, Ky.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Thomas Levine Sr. LA PORTE — Thomas Levine Sr., 79, former employee of the Ector County Public Library and the Presidential Museum, died Thursday, July 22, 1999, at Pasadena’s Vencor Bay Area Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redeeming Faith Church of God in Christ in La Porte. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena. Funeral arrangements by Frazier Funeral Home of Bayton. He was born in Opelousas, La., and moved to La Porte in 1997 from Odessa. He was a Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Golden Levine of La Porte; daughters, Golden Craft, Tommie Fantroy and Pinkie Ned, all of La Porte; son, Thomas Levine Jr. of San Antonio; brother, Roy Levine of Oakland, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Gladys O’briant ROTAN — Gladys Taggart O’briant, 93, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Rotan Healthcare Center. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Belvieu Cemetery with the Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Funeral arrangements by Weathersbee Funeral Home. She was born in Hamilton County and was a resident of Rotan. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Sons, Ernest Wayne Taggart of Levelland, Michael Don Taggart of Amarillo and Gary Neil Taggart of Odessa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Curtis Thorpe ODESSA — Curtis Thorpe, 88, of Odessa died Monday, July 26, 1999, at his home. Services are pending with Frank W.
