August 11, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices Alton Green BRANSON, Colo. — Alton Loyd Green, 81, of Andrews, a retired highway construction operating engineer, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Permian General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Branson Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home. He was born in Branson, Colo., and has lived in Andrews since 1989. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Jose Jaquez KERMIT — Jose "Joe" De La Luz Jaquez Sr., 84, of Kermit, a carpenter, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital in Kermit. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Roberto Alvarado officiating. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kermit. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home. He was born in Sierra Blanca and lived in Kermit for 54 years. He was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Wife, Christina Vara Jaquez of Kermit; sons, Enrique Jaquez of Kermit, Joe Jaquez Jr. of Deming, N.M., and David Jaquez of Artesia, N.M.; daughters, Janie Woodard, Delia Heredia and Christina Perez, all of Kermit; brothers, Eualaterio Jaquez of Van Horn, Maximino Jaquez of Odessa and Nestor Jaquez of Fort Stockton; sisters, Margarita Amparano and Gloria Jaquez, both of LaLuz, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
