                              Ramon Benavente
   FORT STOCKTON — Ramon Benavente, 78, of Fort Stockton, a farmer,
                   died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, in Odessa.
     Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial
                   will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
                   Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
      He was born in Abalos, Chihuahua, Mexico, and has lived in Fort
                   Stockton since 1993. He was Christian.
     SURVIVORS: Wife, Enedina Benavente of Fort Stockton; sons, Gustavo
   Benavente, Jesus Benavente and Jorge Benavente, all of Fort Stockton,
   Juan Benavente of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Samuel Benavente of
   Mira Loma, Calif.; daughters, Josephina Morales of Valle de Zaragoza,
      Chihuahua, Mexico, and Imelda Esparza of Fort Stockton; brother,
   Guillermo Benavente of Valle de Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico; sisters,
      Andrea Benavente and Manuela Baco, both of Chihuahua, Mexico; 25
                 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Keith Lazenby
     RESTON, CANADA — Keith Herbert Lazenby, 48, of Monahans, died
             Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, in a Monahans nursing home.
   Services will be at Reston Cemetery in Reston, Canada. Arrangements by
                            Ellis Funeral Home.
          He was born in Virden, Manitoba, Canada. He was Baptist.
     SURVIVORS: Wife, Debbie Lazenby of Monahans; sons, Sean Lazenby of
    Washington D.C., Ryan Lazenby of Woodbury, Minn., and Joshua Beck of
     Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Lyndsi Beck of Monahans; brother, Terry
      Lazenby of Calgary, Canada; and sister, Diana Barker of Melita,
                                  Canada.
                                      
                               Gabriel Orona
   STANTON — Gabriel Hinojos Orona, 53, of Stanton, a farm laborer,
              died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, in Midland County.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with
           the Rev. Arturo Pestin and Ernie Sanchez officiating.
              Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Midland.
         Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
                      He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico.
    SURVIVORS: Wife, Monzerad Orona of Stanton; brother, Santos Lopez of
    Odessa; sisters, Maria Orona of Ojinaga, Mexico, Lupe Tarin Lopez of
   Pecos, Ana Lopez of Midland, Ernestina Johnston of Midland and Aurora
                            Salgado of Stanton.
                                      
                              Esmerita Sanchez
     MONAHANS — Esmerita Rubio Sanchez, 59, of Monahans, a school
     cafeteria worker, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Midland Memorial
                        Hospital and Medical Center.
    Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. today at St. John’s Catholic
             Church with the Rev. Roberto Alvarado officiating.
    Burial will be at Monahans Cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral
                                   Home.
       She was born in Carlsbad, N.M., and was a lifelong resident of
                        Monahans. She was Catholic.
    SURVIVORS: Husband, Henry Sanchez of Monahans; son, Hank Sanchez of
    Monahans; daughters, Elma S. Dominguez of Monahans and Erica Sanchez
     of Austin; brother, Ricardo Rubio of Los Angeles; sister, Angelica
            Pedrosa of Ojinaga, Mexico; and five grandchildren.
                                      
                               James Zeigler
    KERMIT — James E. Zeigler, 78, of Kermit, a tank builder, died
      Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical
                                  Center.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kermit Cemetery with the Rev.
                         Gary Redwine officiating.
                   Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
     He was born in Brookedale and was a long time resident of Odessa.
                  He was an Army veteran of World War II.
       SURVIVORS: Son, Gene Zeigler of Wink; sister, Bentta Letney of
         Beaumont; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Billie Wolter
     ODESSA — Billie Wolter, 69, of Odessa, died Sunday, Aug. 15,
                     1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
          Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
