Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. She was born in Alpine. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Husband, Cecilio Chavez of Tucson, Ariz.; sons, Cecilio Gerardo "Gary" Chavez, Gabriel Craig Chavez and August DeAnda Chavez, all of Tucson, Ariz.; mother, Brigida Cobos DeAnda of Odessa; brothers, Luis DeAnda and Marcelo DeAnda, both of Odessa, and George DeAnda of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Marta Bustamante and Mary Ann Almanza, both of Odessa, Angie Brown of Garland, Dolores Marin of Midland and Vivian Chavez of Springfield, Va.; and two grandchildren. Frances Eppler ANDREWS — Frances Eppler, 83, of Andrews, a retired owner of Eppler Insurance Agency, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Andrews Church of Christ with Les McGalliard officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home. She was born in Hamilton and moved to Andrews in 1945. She was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Son, Wayne Eppler of Andrews; daughters, Jan Jackson of Grand Prairie and Ann Young of Houston; sisters, Alene Banta of Hamilton and Willie Marie Warner of Rockport; eight grandchildren; and seven grandchildren. John Sims ODESSA — John N. Sims, 67, employee of Greens Pipe Services, died Aug. 24, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. He was born in Bay Springs, Miss. He was Baptist.
