                               Calvin Awbrey
      ODESSA — Calvin Levis Awbrey Sr., 74, of Odessa, a retired
   employee of El Paso Products, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at Medical
                              Center Hospital.
     Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eisenhower Church of Christ
      with Eddie Parish officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial
            Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
    He was born in Gainesville. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Hazel Awbrey of Odessa; son, Levy Awbrey of Del Rio;
   daughter, Charlotte Rhoads of El Paso, Barbara Holloway of Las Cruces,
     N.M., Jo Wright of Levelland, Kay Rhodes of Hereford and Jeanette
      Wristen of Grandfalls; brothers, Kenneth Awbrey of Arizona, E.H.
   Awbrey of Muleshoe and Bob Awbrey of Sundown; sisters, Sue Barnett of
     Comanche and Dixie Chamness of Arkansas; 15 grandchildren; and 27
                            great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Alvin Childers
    LOOP — Alvin Childers, 79, of Midland, died Wednesday, Sept. 8,
           1999, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.
     Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Loop Church of Christ.
     Burial will be at Loop Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral
                                   Home.
    He was born in Franklin County, Ala. He was an Army veteran of World
              War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Lillian Childers of Midland; Son, Ellyson Childers of
      Midland; daughters, Paula Thomas of Midland and Marylyn Welch of
     Carrolton; sisters, Mabel Warner of Shelby Township, Miss., Evelyn
     Swindle of Red Bay, Ala., and Gwin Childers of Smithville, Tenn.;
          brother, O’Neal Childers of Red Bay, Ala.; and five
                               grandchildren.
                                      
                            Rhonda Higginbotham
   STANTON — Rhonda Keys Higginbotham, 36, of Midland, a convenience
   store assistant manager, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, near Sterling
                                   City.
    Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery
    with the Rev. Robert Frazier officiating. Arrangements by Gilbreath
                               Funeral Home.
                        She was born in Atlanta, Ga.
       SURVIVORS: Son, Ricky Higginbotham of Midland; daughter, Amber
     Higginbotham of Midland; mother, Sandra Keys of Midland; brother,
    Randy Keys of Odessa; sisters, Tori Keys Steen and Staci Keys Baker,
                   both of Odessa; and one granddaughter.
                                      
                              Samantha Rangel
      ODESSA — Samantha Justine Rangel, infant daughter of Jathan
    Rangel and Nicole Sanchez, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Odessa
                             Regional Hospital.
       Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial
        Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
   SURVIVORS: Grandparents, John and Diana Morrison of Odessa, Rosie and
   Robert Fierro of Carlsbad, N.M., Oscar and Fernie Rangel of Odessa and
    Julian and Domitria Sanchez of Odessa and Eduardo Bardina Aguirra of
   Dallas; great-grandparents, Jessie Guerra of Odessa, Stella Rangel of
      Odessa and Elidia Florez of Odessa; brothers, Steven Rangel and
     Michael Rangel, both of Odessa; sister, Victoria Rangel of Odessa.

     CRANE — Claudia Willis, 82, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at
                          Crane Memorial Hospital.
