Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at her residence, 428 S. Olive St. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel. She was born in Mulato, Mexico, and lived in Kermit for 16 years. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Sons, Edmundo Aranda of Odessa, Ruben Aranda and Raul Aranda, both of Hobbs, N.M., Adrian Aranda of Monahans and Rodolfo Aranda of Kermit; daughters, Aida Ramirez and Emparo Mendez, both of Odessa, Leticia Marquez of Kermit; brothers, Alberto Alvares and Adrian Alvares, both of California, Adolfo Levers of Presidio and Pablo Alvares of Alamagordo, N.M.; sisters, Maria Alvares and Yolanda Mendez, both of Odessa, Armida Cervantes of Ojinaga, Mexico, and Manuela Duran of Pecos; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Minnie Barton EASTLAND — Minnie Barton, 99, of Midland, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, in Midland. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Davidson Cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. She was born in Eastland County and has lived in Midland for 20 years. SURVIVORS: Son, Jack Barton of Midland; brother, Floyd Messiner of Colorado; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Marjory Johnson ODESSA — Marjory Elizabeth Johnson, 76, of Mount Pleasant, retired owner and operator of Doby’s Hickory Stick, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Titus Regional Hospital in Mount Pleasant. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jerry Jackson officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. She was born in Hamlin and was a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Shirley Whitney of Mount Pleasant; brother, Milton Crow of Hamlin; sister, Valeta Mullins of Hamlin; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Lonnie Moore Jr. BIG SPRING — Lonnie D. Moore Jr., 78, of Big Spring, a surgical technician, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Myers and Smith Chapel with the Rev. Doug Shelley officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home. He was born in Delta County. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean war. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Katherine Bedrich of Cameron and Sandra Patzki of Garland; sisters, Myrtle Kimbrough of Odessa, Ruby Goforth of Texico, N.M., and Billye Yaws of Seagoville; and three grandchildren. Ronald Pokorny DALLAS — Ronald Edward Pokorny, 56, of Dallas, died September 5, 1999. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Philip W. James Woolsey JAYTON — James Aubrey Woolsey, 76, of Plainview, a retired employee of Joy Manufacturing, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at the Prairie House Living Center. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Jayton with the Rev. David Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Jayton Cemetery. Arrangements by Lemons Funeral Home. He was born in Goldthwaite and was a Coast Guard veteran.
