October 02, 1999 Permian Basin Death Notices W.J. Brown ODESSA — W.J. Brown Jr., 83, of Memphis, Tenn., a retired employee of Gulf Oil Co., died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, in Memphis, Tenn. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. He was born in Pampa and moved to Memphis, Tenn., in 1997 from Odessa. He was a member of the Christian Church. SURVIVORS: Sons, David Brown of Round Rock and Marvin Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Joyce Heady of Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Roman Franco FORT STOCKTON — Roman Chavarria Franco, 79, of Fort Stockton, a custodian, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, in Fort Stockton. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in Terlingua. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sylvia Franco Flores and Romelia Franco, both of Fort Stockton; brothers, Tino Franco of Odessa and Simon Franco of Fort Stockton; sisters, Juanita Franco and Rita Franco, both of Fort Stockton, and Alejandra Silvas of El Paso; and two grandchildren.
