Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Chapel with Victor Romero officiating. Burial will be at Merced Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in Casa Piedra, Texas and was a longtime resident of Marfa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Jehovah’s Witness. SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria Acosta of Marfa; son, Mario Acosta of Pflugerville; daughters, Amelia Chavez of Midland, Elida Ontiveroz of Monahans, Frances Rodriguez of Irving and Liza James of Marfa; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Coy Gabbert CRANE — Coy Lynn Gabbert, 54, of Crane, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at his residence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Iraan Church of Christ with Mack Dever officiating.
