    ODESSA — Lillye Maye Grooms Bryant, 93, of Odessa, an educator,
         died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
                                      
     Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church
    with the Rev. Bill Heggemeier officiating. Burial will be at Sunset
       Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
                                      
    She was born in Buffalo and moved to Odessa in 1953 from Hobbs, N.M.
                             She was Methodist.
                                      
     SURVIVORS: Son, Robert F. Bryant Jr. of Bellingham, Wash.; sister,
       Geraldine Gregory of Baton Rouge, La.; four grandchildren; six
          great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
                                      
                              Demetria Medrano
                                      
    RUIDOSA — Demetria Medrano, 65, of Monahans, a homemaker, died
             Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at Ward Memorial Hospital.
                                      
     Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ruidosa Cemetery.
                    Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
                                      
                 She was born in Mexico. She was Catholic.
                                      
    SURVIVORS: Husband, Luis Medrano of Monahans; sons, Martin Velasquez
      of Monahans, Jesus Medrano of Hobbs, N.M., Jose Luis Medrano of
    Friona; daughters, Maria DeJesus Porras of Mexico, Bentura Baltazar
    and Juana Jimenez, both of Monahans, Dominga Jimenez of Presidio and
   Zita Medrano of Hobbs, N.M.; brothers, Jesus Velasquez of Andrews and
    Diego Velasquez of Hobbs, N.M.; sisters, Pascuala SanDoval of Pecos
         and Manuela Martinez of Mexico; 19 grandchildren; and four
                            great-grandchildren.

       SHEFFIELD — Morris Bowman Monroe, 78, of Sheffield, died
                     Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, in Iraan.
                                      
     Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sheffield Cemetery.
                Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home.
                                      
     He was born in Sheffield. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
                                      
      SURVIVORS: Nieces, Sandra McDaniel and Barbara Belcher, both of
   Odessa, Carolyn Slover of Del Rio and Linda Pound of Colleyville; and
   nephews, Albert Monroe of Willis and Jerry Culbertson of Colleyville.

   FORT STOCKTON — Alfonso Trevino, 88, of Fort Stockton, a grocery
        store owner, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at his residence.
                                      
     Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.
   Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral
                           Home of Fort Stockton.
                                      
        He was born in San Jose de Aura, Cohahuila, Mexico. He was a
                          Jehovah’s Witness.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Sons, Alfonso Trevino Jr. of San Antonio, Leonardo Trevino
   of San Jose, Calif.; daughters, Socorro Pena of San Antonio and Julia
     Dominguez of Clute; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
