     FT. STOCKTON — Julia Flores Cerda, 86, of Fort Stockton, died
                 Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, in Fort Stockton.
    Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
      Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Church.
          Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
             She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and was Catholic.
   SURVIVORS: Brothers, Manuel Flores of Ojinaga, Mexico, Cruz Flores of
     Ft. Stockton; sisters, Flora Flores of California, and Eva Luna of
            Mexico; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren
                                      
                             Claudie Gruben Jr.
    DENVER CITY — Claudie Ray Gruben Jr., 51, of Denver City, died
          Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, in Brownwood Regional Hospital.
    Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Trinity Baptist Church with
    the Rev. Jim Auld officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver City
           Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Homes.
                 He was born in Brownfield and was Baptist.
     SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Gruben of Denver City; son, Chuck Gruben of
   Denver City; daughter, Kaye George of Monahans; parents, Mr. and Mrs.
     C. R. Gruben of Hamlin; brothers, Carl Gruben of Brownwood, Epkie
      Gruben of Hamlin; sister, Joanna Dawson of Brownfield; and four
                               grandchildren.

    SANDERSON — Anna Rios Picaso, 53, of Sanderson, died Thursday,
                        Oct. 28 1999, in Sanderson.
    Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church. Rosary
        will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church.
          Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
                She was born in Sanderson and was Catholic.
    SURVIVORS: Son, Vincente Picaso Jr. of Sanderson; daughter, Virginia
    Picaso of Sanderson; brother, Pasual Rios of Odessa; sister, Martha
                           Rivera of San Angelo.
                                      
                                 A.W. Wood
    MIDLAND — A. W. "Buddy" Wood, 90, of Midland, died Friday, Oct.
                29, 1999, at the Mabee Center of Manor Park.
   Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church
        Sanctuary with the Rev. John Rech and the Rev. C. Lane Boyd
        officiating. Burial will folllow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
                    Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
             He was born in Saucier, Miss. and was a Methodist.
    SURVIVORS: Daughters, Patricia Cobb of Haroz, Switzerland, Margaret
   Cook of Galveston; son, Bill Wood of Argyle; eight grandchildren; four
                            great grandchildren.
