                                 Kay Cates
   ODESSA — Kay Cates, 62, of Odessa, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at
                          Medical Center Hospital.
    Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the
   Rev. Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial
             Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens.
                She was born in Enid, Okla. She was Baptist.
    SURVIVORS: Son, Greg Cates of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Cathy Harden
   of Odessa; brother, Mike Edwards of El Paso; and three grandchildren.
                                      
                             Regino Escontrias
       MIDLAND — Regino H. Escontrias, 70, of Midland, a retired
      subcontractor, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at his residence.
    Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic
    Church with the Rev. Jermone Burnett officiating. Burial will be at
       Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
                          He was born in Fourteen.
     SURVIVORS: Sons, Gabriel Escontrias and Martin Escontrias, both of
     Midland; daughters, Sylvia Gonzales, Nora Escontrias, Maria Luisa
   Mendez, Irma Manriquez, Juana Huarneros and Noelia Escontrias, all of
     Midland; brothers, Isidro Escontrias, Cuco Escontrias and Gabriel
    Escontrias, all of Phoenix, Ariz., Oscar Escontrias of Amarillo and
    Carlos Escontrias of Terlingua; sisters, Esperanza Perez of Ojinaga,
    Chihuahua, Mexico, Natividad Gonzalez of Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico,
         Ramona Mata of Midland and Manuel Guevara of Terlingua; 24
               grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Viola Ratliff
     ODESSA — Viola Ruth Ratliff, 73, of Odessa, a secretary, died
            Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with
                 Don Turskey and Roy Smalling officiating.
      She was born in Breckenridge. She was a member of the Church of
                                  Christ.
      SURVIVORS: Sons, Dan Ratliff of Odessa and W.E. "Dub" Ratliff of
        Benbrook; sister, Christine Johnson of Harrison, Ariz.; six
               grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
                                      
                                 Leroy Ford
    ODESSA — Leroy Ford, 33, of Odessa, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999,
               at Midland Memorial Hospital & Medical Center.
        Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
                                      
                                  Era Hood
     LAMARQUE — Era Hood, 85, of Lamarque, died Thursday, Nov. 18,
                             1999, in Lamarque.
