                                Debbie Best
     ODESSA — Debbie Cardile Best, 41, a Walgreens employee, died
                   Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at her home.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the
     Rev. Robert Lamb officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m.
            today. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
           She was born in Brownwood and moved to Odessa in 1983.
   SURVIVORS: Daughters, Jaymi Bentley and Crystal Woods, both of Odessa;
   step-daughter, Felicia Cardile of Odessa; sisters, Dottie Granato and
         Willena Benson, both of Brownwood; and four grandchildren.
                                      
                               Rolan Hassell
    ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — Rolan Knox Hassell, 95, of Alamogordo, N.M.,
                 died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at his home.
    Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Gaines County Cemetery
      South with Rev. Derrel Evins officiating. Arrangements by Boyer
                         Funeral Home of Seminole.
            He was a retired general contractor. He was Baptist.
    SURVIVORS: Wife, Kathlene Hassell of Alamogordo; son, Howard Hassell
   of Ruidoso, N.M.; brother; Joseph Boyd Hassell of Odessa; sister, Mary
   Clark of Snyder; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six
                         great-great-grandchildren.
                                      
                                Janie Hunter
   ODESSA — Janie R. Hunter, 88, of Odessa, died Thursday, Nov. 18,
                             1999, at her home.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Matthew Baptist Church with
       Rev. Anthony Slack officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill
           Cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
                              She was Baptist.
   SURVIVORS: Brother, James Roberson of Odessa; sisters, Johnnie Shelton
   of Midland, Laura Bell Carter of Los Angeles, Calif., Marie Moorer of
      Odessa, Princella Toney of Odessa and Altha Mae Rand of Odessa.
                                      
                                Isabel Lopez
    Isabel Herrera Lopez, 89, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at her home.
    Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic
     Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Burial will be at 4
      p.m. today at Melvin Cemetery in Melvin. Arrangements by Sunset
                           Memorial Funeral Home.
       She was born in Del Rio. She was a 27-year resident of Odessa.
   SURVIVORS: Daughters, Maria Julieta Caballero and Rosemaria L. Mendez,
     both of Odessa; brother, Luciano B. Herrera of Edinburg; sisters,
     Santiaguita H. Lopez of San Angelo, Conception H. Martinez of San
   Antonio, Santa Ana H. Martinez and Santos H. Vasquez, both of Melvin,
       Herlinda H. Conway of Brady and Julia A. Lira of Dallas; nine
                 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
                                      
                                Jean Murphy
    OLNEY — Jean Murphy, 79, of Olney, a homemaker, died Saturday,
                    Nov. 20, 1999, in an Olney hospital.
      Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial
            Gardens. Arrangements by Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
                              She was Baptist.
      SURVIVORS: Sons, Johnny M. Murphy of Odessa and Calvin Murphy of
   Flower Mound; daughters Patsy Barnes of Grand Prairie, Linda Phillips
   of Olney and Janie Wilson of Olney; sisters, Lorene Currie of Ranger,
     Mary Blackmon of Monahans, June Kinder of Willcox, Ariz. and Tina
            Briley of Wynnewood, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 12
                            great-grandchildren.
