   MIDLAND — Ernest H. Briggs, 81, of Odessa, died Thursday, Dec. 9,
                              1999, in Odessa.
   Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park
    with the Rev. Dr. Emmitt Barnard officiating. Arrangements by Ellis
                               Funeral Home.
                  He was born in San Saba. He was Baptist.
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Frankie Briggs of Odessa; daughters, Audrey Wright of
     Buffalo Gap and Jo Ann Little of Odessa; brother, Alvie Hughes of
        Hobbs, N.M.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
                                      
                               Enemorio Chapa
       STANTON — Enemorio Chapa, 74, of Stanton, a farmer, died
                 Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at his residence.
   Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic
        Church with Ernie Sanchez officiating. Burial will be at St.
     Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial
                               Funeral Home.
                          He was born in Beeville.
    SURVIVORS: Sons, Luis Antonio Chapa Sr. and Enemorio Chapa Jr., both
      of Stanton; daughters, Solia Perez, Sylvia Hernandez and Juanita
   Chapa, all of Stanton; brothers, Agapito Chapa of Stanton and Marcial
    Chapa of Bertram; sisters, Inez Castillo, Mercedes Valles and Minnie
     Padron, all of Stanton, and Elida Salazar and Juana Lopez, both of
                                 Plainview.
                                      
                            Guadalupe Hernandez
     PECOS — Guadalupe Hernandez, 46, of Pecos, a homemaker, died
            Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
      Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Santa Rosa Catholic
   Church with the Rev. Manny Munoz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7
   p.m. Monday at 609 S. Almond St. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
                   Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
    She was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. She was Catholic.
       SURVIVORS: Husband, Alfonso Hernandez of Pecos; son, Jose Paul
   Hernandez of Pecos; daughters, Sharon Hernandez, Maribel Hernandez and
   Angelica Hernandez, all of Pecos; brothers, Jessie Rubio, Javier Rubio
     and Santos Rubio, all of Amarillo; sisters, Romelia Hernandez and
    Celia Chairez, both of Pecos, and Maria Dolores Salinas of Amarillo;
                          and three grandchildren.
                                      
                             Floyd Homer Pruett
        MIDLAND — Floyd Homer Pruett, 89, of Odessa, a retired
     contractor, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Seabury Nursing Home.
   Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park
    with the Rev. Dick Brown officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly
                               Funeral Home.
    He was born in Fredericktown, Mo., and has been a resident of Odessa
                                since 1936.
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Dorothy Pruett of Odessa; son, Floyd H. Pruett Jr. of
    Austin; daughter, Margaret Spiller of Ozona; sisters, Jewell Hammond
      of Odessa and Dorothy Fay Wright of Sacramento, Calif.; and two
                               grandchildren.

     HOUSTON — Carlota Lujan, 68, of Odessa, died Friday, Dec. 10,
                         1999, at Hermann Hospital.
