Joan Joplin MONAHANS — Joan Joplin, 88, of Odessa died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Harkey Funeral Home. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home. She was born in Sopris, Colo., and had lived in Monahans since 1946. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Husband, Loren Joplin of Monahans; daughters, Leona Joan Olson of Minneapolis and Marylin Minchio of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchlidren. Olive Phillips ODESSA — Olive Jeanita "Molly" Phillips, 89, of Odessa, a retired day nursery worker, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at New Horizons Nursing Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Ector County/Odessa Cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. She was born in Mobile, Ala., and moved to Odessa in 1948 from Oklahoma. She was Baptist.
