January 13, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- William Robert (Bob) Holleman, 85, died Jan. 11, 1999, at Vencor Hospital Southwest in Fort Worth after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 22, 1913, in Kirven. He married Pearl Eileen Costello Feb. 24, 1936, in Hobbs, N.M. Graveside services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mr. Holleman and his wife moved to Odessa in 1940 from Eunice, N.M. He was a retired tool pusher for A.W. Thompson Drilling Company. Mr. Holleman was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Anna Lea Holleman. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Hammons of Fort Worth; a granddaughter, Kristie Lee Bryant of Austin; a grandson, William Robert "Bill" Hammons of New York City; and a sister, Anna Forster of Odessa. If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, Ector County Division, 3525 Andrews Highway, Suite 111, Midland, 79703. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Garland Lee Parum, 72, of Odessa died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Rogersville, Ala. He married Mary Louise Johnson June 2, 1967, in Odessa. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Burt Groves officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mr. Parum moved to Odessa in 1942 from Rogersville, Ala. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ. He worked for Yellow and Checker Cab Companies and Mark Knox Flowers. He was preceded in death by his wife Jan. 9, 1990. Mr. Parum is survived by his brothers, W.E. Parum of Hurst and J.C. Parum of Midland; sisters, Norma Daniels and Betty Branson, both of Odessa; niece, Janice Mazzettia of Brookens, Ore.; and 12 nieces and nephews.
