February 19, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Mass for Matilde Morales, 77, of Odessa will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at 301 Blackstone St. Visitations will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at 301 Blackstone St. Mrs. Morales died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, in Odessa. She was born March 14, 1921, in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua, Mexico to Martina Torres and Damaso Levario. She married Jose Morales. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Mrs. Morales was a housewife and had lived in Odessa since 1970. Survivors include her two sons, Jaime Morales and Juan Morales, both of Odessa; five daughters, Hermila M. Vigil and Ramona M. Herrera, both of Los Angeles, Calif., Maria M. Leyva, Rosario M. Hernandez and Lourdes M. Samaniego, all of Odessa; brothers, Celerino Levario of El Paso, Jesus Jose Levario, Manuel Levario and Horacio Levario, all of Odessa; sisters, Soledad L. Navarrete of Los Angeles and Amelia L. Romero of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
