February 21, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Jody Crawford Bagley, 38, of Odessa, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Aug. 7, 1960, in Brady to Clifford and Andrea Crawford. Jody came to Odessa in 1961. She graduated fro Odessa High School in 1978. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and had worked 13 years for Atty. Terry Donk. On Aug. 20, 1985, she married Pat Bagley in Colorado. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. John Lyons officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Survivors include: Husband, Pat Bagley of Odessa; children, Patrick D. Bagley, and Taylor D. Bagley, both of Odessa; parents, Clifford and Andrea Crawford of Odessa; brothers, Wayne Crawford of Iraan and John Crawford of Odessa; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Mahoata Bagley of Odessa. _________________________________________________________________ Marilyn Kelly ODESSA -- Services for Marilyn Katherine Kelly, 73, of Odessa, are scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Father Frey officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bridgeport, Conn., at 12 p.m. Wed., Feb. 24. Miss Kelly died Thursday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Bridgeport, Conn., to William F. and Katherine V. Kelly. Miss Kelly had begun her nursing career in Bridgeport, Conn., and graduated from Boston University with a Masters of Science in Nursing. As a nurse educator, she helped develop learning strategies for medical-surgical, intensive care and cancer care units. She moved to Odessa in 1979 to teach nursing at Odessa College until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the National Honor Society for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. She was a friend to students and fellow instructors, and a very independent woman. Her cousins were her family and "Mal" was an important part of their lives. Her family and friends are comforted by knowing she is in God's care. Survivors include cousins, Michael Kot and wife Gayle, of Pearland, Patrick Kot and wife Kathy, of Woodlands, Raymond Cosgrove and wife Martha, of Fairfield, Conn., William Cosgrove and wife Alice, also of Fairfield, Conn., and cousin Robert Kelly of Conn. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Services for Esther Alwilda Logan, 89, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. David Allen officiating. Burial will be in Moore's Memorial Park in Arlington. Mrs. Logan died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at her residence. She was born Jan. 28, 1910, in Blanchard, Iowa. She married W.K. Logan in 1932, in Quitman, Mo. Mrs. Logan moved to Odessa eight years ago from Arlington. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Arlington and the Navy Mothers. Survivors include her sons, Tom Logan of Odessa, Max Logan of Littleton, Colo., Russel Logan of Westminster, Colo., and William Logan of Garland; one sister, Edna True of Melbourne, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Kenneth Logan in 1967, and her son Gerald Hatch in 1985. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Mass for Luisa Carrillo Ramirez, 89, of Odessa will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Odessa Cemetery. Mrs. Ramirez died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at her residence. She was born Sept. 16, 1909, in Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mexico. She married Bernardo V. Ramirez May 1, 1933, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Mrs. Ramirez was a homemaker and loved needle work and greatly enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardo V. Ramirez; sons, Pedro Ramirez, Isidoro Ramirez and son-in-law Alejandro Ramirez. Survivors include her sons, Memo Ramirez and Juan Ramirez, both of Odessa, and Bernardo Ramirez II of Midland; daughters, Paula Navarrete, Socorro Biscaino, Celia Ramirez and Juanita Rodriguez, all of Odessa; sisters, Dionicia Franco of Roswell, N.M., and Paula Venegas of Ojinaga, Mexico; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rudy Navarrete, Armando Ramirez, Robert Ramirez, Sammy Rodriguez, Saul Biscaino and Bernie Ramirez III. Funeral arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Mitchell Eugene Sharp Sr., 86, of Odessa, passed away Friday 19, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Mitchell was born July 17, 1912, in Bellfonte, Ark., to John and Ethel Sharp. He married Maxine Bundy of Decatur, Ill., on Dec. 4, 1946. During the war, he worked on the Manhatten Project, United States Code Project for the development of the Atomic Bomb. In 1951, he moved to Odessa and has been a longtime employee of Sewell Motor Company. He is a member of Antioch Christian Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. Don Frankhauser officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
