   ODESSA  --  Jane  Elinor Davis, 78, of Odessa passed away Monday, Feb.
   22, 1999, in the Manor Park, Younger Center of Midland.
   
   Mrs. Davis was born June 29, 1920, in Trenton, Ill. She married Dennis
   Paul Davis on May 3, 1941, in Trenton, Ill.
   
   He passed away Aug. 24, 1992, after 51 years of marriage.
   
   Mrs.  Davis had been a resident of Odessa since 1961. She was a member
   of Highland United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.
   
   She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
   
   She is survived by one son, Tom Davis of Houston; two daughters, Nancy
   Stewart  of  Odessa  and Diana Balkman of Columbia, Mo.; two brothers,
   Sidney  Strotheide  of  Collinsville,  Ill.,  and Eugene Strotheide of
   Tucson,  Ariz.;  one  sister,  Elinor  Zahn of Trenton, Ill.; and five
   grandchildren, Kimberly, Brian, Emily, Matthew and Dennis.
   
   Graveside  services  are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999,
   in   the  Sunset  Memorial  Gardens  with  the  Rev.  Donnie  Williams
   officiating.
   
   The  family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's
   Association, P.O. Box 3389, Midland 79702.
   
   Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
