February 25, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Donald Riley Jr., 42, of Odessa, died Feb. 24, 1999, at his residence. He was born Jan. 10, 1957, in San Angelo to Donald and Fay Riley Sr. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Griffin Jones and James Bishop officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Don lived in Odessa for 31 years and was a graduate of Odessa College as a Medical Laboratory Technician. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother and uncle. He was loved by everyone he knew. He loved fishing, camping, boating and playing bingo. He was a good Christian and an honest man. He will be deeply missed by everyone. He is survived by his parents, Don and Fay Riley of Odessa; sisters and husbands, Donna and Henry Pettigrew of Phoenix, Ariz., Brenda and Larry Pipkin of Odessa, Penny and Luis Caraveo of Odessa and Beth and Joe Bentley of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Services for William James Rittenhouse, 80, of Odessa, will be at 3 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Mr. Rittenhouse died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born July 14, 1918, in Kingston, Penn. He married Imogene Taylor June 2, 1942, in Midland. Mr. Rittenhouse moved to Odessa in 1942 with the U.S. Army Air Corps from Pennsylvania. He was a salesman for Sears & Roebuck Company. He retired in 1982. He was a very active member of the Knights of Columbus, Odessa Rod & Gun Club, American Legion as a former commander, the National Rifle Association and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal with one bronze star and the American Defense Service Medal. He and his wife, Gene, raised five children. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He was proud to be a citizen and humble as a patriot. He will be missed. Survivors include his wife, Imogene Rittenhouse of Odessa; sons, William J. Rittenhouse II of Dallas, Daniel Joseph Rittenhouse of Midland and Richard Thomas Rittenhouse of Austin; daughters, Pamela Ann Rittenhouse of Dallas and Rosalind Mary Tuttle of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
