April 03, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Graveside services for Charlie Marion Hurley, 97, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Mr. Hurley died Friday, April 2, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born December 30, 1901, to Joseph S. and Nettie (Russell) Hurley in Ben Franklin, Texas. Mr. Hurley married Zelma Lora Weathersby January 7, 1928, in May, Texas. Mr. Hurley came to Odessa in 1936. He worked for Humble Pipe Line for 35 years. He retired from Humble December 1, 1966. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Hurley was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma, in April 1993; his son, Billy E. Hurley, in December 1987; grandson, Ronald Orr, in September 1992; his parents and brother, John Hurley. Survivors include his daughter, Bobbie Orr and her husband, Tommy D., of Odessa; grandson, Alan Hurley of Odessa; granddaughters, Carolyn (Hurley) Morris of Odessa, Tamara (Orr) Armstrong and Teresa Orr of Amarillo, and Lora Hurley of Pflugerville; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel and Melissa Orr of Indianapolis, Ind., Stefanie and Steven Armstrong of Amarillo, Leslie and Jennifer Morris and Danae Hurley, all of Odessa. Memorials may be made if desired to the Scottish Rite Hospital for children, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas 75219 or the First Baptist Church Library, 709 N. Lee, Odessa 79761. Tijerina-Marshal, 37, of Tulia will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. The family can be reached at the home of Jerri A. Marshal, 3521 103rd St., Lubbock, Texas 79423. Mr. Tijerina-Marshal died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in Tulia. He was born June 15, 1961, in Kress to Melchor A. and Carolina Tijerina-Marshal. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Melchor A. Tijerina II. Mr. Tijerina-Marshal graduated from Alamo Catholic High School in Amarillo. He lived in Lubbock and Tulia where he worked in construction. He was Catholic. Survivors include a son, Melchor A. Tijerina III of Garland; daughter, Marcelina E. Tijerina of Waco; and sister, Jerri Ann Marshal of Lubbock.
