April 08, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Services for Clyde Cecil Coplin, 82, of Odessa will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Garnto officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Coplin died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1916, in Weiser, Idaho. He married Rita Gabrielle Allaire Sept. 12, 1945, in Fitchburg, Mass. Mr. Coplin has lived in Odessa since 1983. He was a retired construction superintendent for Shell Oil Company. He served in the 45th Division in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Coplin. Survivors his wife, Rita Coplin of Odessa; sister, Bertha Curtis of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Rynda K. Dunnam, 31, of Odessa, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born April 9, 1967, in Odessa to Billy H. and Ruth Dunnam. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Griffin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Rynda was a lifelong resident of Odessa. She had plans to plant a garden and she loved flowers. She also was involved with the State Commission for the Blind. She loved animals and her daughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy H. Dunnam; and her brother, Ronald Dean Dunnam. She is survived by her daughter, Krystal Dunnam of Odessa; mother, Ruth Dunnam of Odessa; brother, Alan Dale Dunnam of Houston; grandparents, Toy and Willis McGowin of Okmulgee, Okla., and Lillie Dunnam of Paris, Texas; sister-in-law, Jane Dunnam of Houston; aunts, Marilyn Kuban of Fort Worth, Nona Johnson of Terrell and Juanita Brawner of Paris, Texas; uncle, Stanley McGowin of Eldorado, Kan.; nephews, Christopher Dunnam, Randy and Matthew Berggren, all of Houston. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Emma Estelle _________________________________________________________________ FORT WORTH -- Emma Estelle Terry Lawson was born to Aubrey and Annie Terry Dec. 9, 1910, in Trent. She grew up in Trent and graduated from John Tarleton State College. Mrs. Lawson taught school before working for the Texas State Department of Welfare. She worked in Levelland, San Antonio and Odessa. Mrs. Lawson was area supervisor for the West Texas region of the Texas Department of Welfare in Odessa. She retired in 1969. She resided in Fort Worth until 1995 when she moved to Camilu Retirement Village in Austin. Upon her death April 6, 1999, she was a resident of Parks Methodist Retirement Home in Odessa. Mrs. Lawson was a Baptist. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Ann Watkins and her husband, Wally, of Everett, Wash.; a son, Ted Lawson of Odessa; a brother, A.C. Terry and his wife, Verne, of Fort Worth; a sister-in-law, Maurine Terry of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 1999, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Fort Worth with the Rev. H.B. Terry officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Merkel Cemetery in Merkel.
