April 16, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Mass for Adam Flores Sr., 76, of Odessa will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 16, 1999, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Mr. Flores died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Vencore Hospital in Fort Worth. He was born May 22, 1922, in Lubbock. He married Frances Flores on Jan. 15, 1982, in Odessa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eulalio Flores and Teresa Chavez; his son, Raul Flores; and his first wife, Elvira Moreno Flores. Mr. Flores was a retired plumber and came to Odessa in 1950. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Frances Flores of Odessa; sons, Adam Flores Jr. of Colorado City, David Flores of Odessa, Hector Flores of Dallas and stepson, Miguel Hinojoza of Odessa; daughters, Lucinda Ramirez of Odessa, Enedina Harris of Little Rock, Ark., Mary Guzman of Houston, Anita Deleon of Dallas; Emma Dominguez of Odessa and Elizabeth Acosta of Odessa; brother, Ismael Flores; sister, Eva Chavez; 31 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. We will forever Love You Father and Grandfather and will always have you in our thoughts and prayers. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Winnie Ann Rogers, 96, of Odessa died Thursday, April 15, 1999, in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 11, 1903, in Eastland County. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Don Turksey officiating. Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. She married Marshall Rogers Aug. 24, 1924, in Ranger. He worked for Humble Oil for many years and they lived in Iraan, Penwell, Denver City, Monahans and now Odessa. Mrs. Rogers loved church and was very active as long as she was able. She taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ. She loved to travel and was a member of the Airstream Club. She also loved to wear hats and she read western novels. She was an accomplished seamstress, as well. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Rogers; and son, Marshall Duane "Red" Rogers. She is survived by one son, Benny Rogers of Robert Lee; and one daughter, Billie Stillwell of Odessa; 10 grandchildren, Gary Stillwell, Bobby Stillwell, Mike Rogers, Kay Rogers Duff, Mitt Rogers, Gail Stillwell, Lanny Rogers, Holly Tindel, Doug Rogers and Kathy Rogers; and 15 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. _________________________________________________________________ Jerry Glenn Davis ODESSA -- Services for Jerry Glenn Davis, 48, of Odessa, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 1999, at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeil officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Davis died Saturday, April 10, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Castor, La. to Carrie Lee Lewis and Coy Davis Sr. He was a retired biomedical technician. He enjoyed repairing televisions as a hobby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Davis; his mother, Carrie Lewis; and his brother, Coy Davis Jr. Survivors include his father, Coy Davis Sr. of Dallas; sister, Carolyn Jones of Odessa; stepfather, Elisha Lewis Jr. of Odessa; niece, Karis Jones of Odessa; and nephews, Quentin Jones and Donald Jones, both of Odessa.
