April 28, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Larry Gene Holtzclaw ODESSA -- Larry Gene Holtzclaw, 50, of Monahans died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1948, in Plainview. He married Juanita Lara Oct. 3, 1971, in Goldsmith. They moved to Monahans in 1994 from Goldsmith. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 1999, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Randy Rives officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. He worked for KN Energy/Sid Richardson for 26 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carrol Thomas and Gertrude Holtzclaw. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Holtzclaw of Monahans; daughter, Robin Holtzclaw of Monahans; son, Jeff Holtzclaw of Midland; brothers, Carrol Wayne and James Holtzclaw both of Midland. Pallbearers will be Roy Dan Bradley, Jerry Vaughan, Dickie Bradley, Ed Montoya and Todd Bradley. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Graveside services for Truman Edward Jenkins, 84, of Odessa will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Robert Scofield officiating. Mr. Jenkins died Monday, April 26, 1999, at his residence. He was born Nov. 1, 1914, in Rising Star. He married Althea "Rose" Justice Oct. 31, 1946, in Borger. She died in 1977. Mr. Jenkins moved to Odessa in 1952 from Amarillo. He had served in the Army Horse Calvary. He was a World War II veteran and was awarded many commendations for military service and bravery. Upon his discharge from the Army, he worked for Skelly Oil Company and later he worked as a pump repairman for Sargent Ind., then retired from Trico Industries in 1979. He enjoyed time with his family. Survivors include his daughter, Willamae Harber of Odessa; sister, Christine Howe and her husband, Ray, of Granbury; granddaughter, Denise Wheeler and her husband, Michael, of Odessa; great-grandchildren, Russell and Alanea Wheeler, both of Odessa. He was also preceded in death by son, Jimmie Rex Harber in 1989.
